Wbr Classmates is a subscription service that delivers a new pet to schools each month, bringing the joy of animals into classrooms. This hands-on experience promotes learning and develops important life skills. We provide Standard and Advanced options to fit various educational needs and ages. Our team takes care of each pet, and we include educational materials to enhance lessons with our furry, finned, or feathered companions.

What is the difference between the Standard and Advanced Programs
Standard Program: Features familiar and well-loved animals such as bunnies, birds, and hamsters, ideal for younger students.
Advanced Program: Introduces older students to more exotic and rare animals, such as reptiles and amphibians.

What safety measures and training are in place for handling pets?
We provide a comprehensive booklet with safety guidelines for handling your pet of the month. The pets themselves are well-trained and tested for their ability to handle human interaction before being delivered to the school. They also undergo thorough health checks to ensure they are free from potential diseases, on top of that, our routine cleaning procedures are carried out by trained professionals to assure that our safety standards are maintained at all times

What if a student has an allergy to the pet?
Before introducing any pets that may cause allergies, we inform parents early on and seek their confirmation that their child is not allergic. In some cases, we may also request allergy tests to be conducted. Additionally, an Allergic Reaction Emergency Kit is provided to address any unexpected allergic reactions swiftly and effectively.

How does the pet introduction and consent process work?
Each month, schools receive a pre-filled Package to share with parents/guardians with details about the pet, potential allergies, requirements to sign up a child, and a consent form for parents to sign and return.

How is the pet’s habitat prepared?
Our team sets up a specialized habitat tailored to the pet’s needs before each month begins, including all necessary supplies for the pet’s comfort and interaction. This setup is done outside of school hours to ensure that students are not disturbed.

What types of learning materials are included in the programs?
Standard Program: Includes materials that integrate pets into subjects like science, Language, and Arts.
Advanced Program: Provides advanced resources covering subjects like biology. Ecology, and geography.
Both programs also include supplementary online resources with curated links, interactive videos, and activities that complement the learning process.

Can we choose the specific type of pet for our classroom?
Schools may request specific types of pets, and our team will do their best to accommodate the request. However, assignments are based on the program’s rotation and availability, so we recommend signing up early.

Can our school subscribe for just one month?
The minimum subscription period is a trial semester. Regular subscriptions are available on yearly basis only. However, if the school year has already started and your school would like to subscribe for the current year, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.

Can we extend the subscription if we want to keep the pet longer?
Options for extending the subscription beyond the initial period can be accommodated if the pet is not assigned to another school or requires a rest period between assignments. Please reach out to your program coordinator directly for further assistance.
